Name: Marcus Hisoka
Age: 215 looks 25
Height: 5’11”

Gender: Male
Personality: Marcus is a kind and caring person, though he’s quiet among people that he doesn’t know very well. Among the things that he is know for is his outspoken mind. Anything that comes to his mind about anyone Marcus will say regardless of what people think. During his free time he likes to lay around and relax. One things that he tries to keep to himself is the love to going out and drinking with friends. Only because he doesn’t didn’t find this act among one of the more respectable kind. Despite Marcus’ medical background his fighting style and control of reiatsu isn’t suited for squad 4.
Appearance: Marcus has dirty blond hair with hazel colored eyes. He wears the standard Shinigami uniform of a hakama and gi. His gi has the right sleeve removed since that is his dominant hand, and he doesn’t want it hindering his fighting. On his right arm towards the upper arm there are tribal style tattoos. The traditional style of white tabi socks and straw sandals are not shown on Marcus since he would rather feel the ground with his bare feet and not though sandals. Marcus Never carries his zanpakuto in his obi belt. Instead he always carries it in his left hand. Not only because he thinks its faster, its also a sure way for him to always make sure he has his zanpakuto.
Sealed Zanpakutō : This Zanpakuto looks just slightly different than normal. Its overall 55” with a blade length of 42” The hilt is black wood that’s highly polished to a slight mirror reflection. The scabbard is made of the same material. There are no guard just metal rings around the handle and scabbard to show the separation
History/Background: Marcus’ mother died in childbirth, she was alone and didn’t list anyone as the father of her newly born son. The doctors frantically tried to find where to send the baby. Unfortunately there was no contact information that the mother had left them. The only thing that they got from the mother before she died was the first name of the child. Once the hospital sent Marcus to an orphanage there he stayed for roughly a week. When a doctor came and wanted to adopt Marcus. He stated that he felt sorry for Marcus and wanted him to grow up in a family and not an orphanage. The correct paperwork was filled out and the doctor named Ken Hisoka became the proud father of a new baby boy.
A year passed by and Ken was working his way up the ranks of the medical field. A job in Japan opened up for him that would pay more. Delighted he packed up his family and took them back home to Osaka. As Marcus grew up his parents told him about what happened. It didn’t surprise Marcus, it actually gave him peace of mind to know that there was a reason for being different. Never once did he try to find his real dad because to him Ken was his real father. Ken was the one that looked out for Marcus and gave him a home as well as treated him like his actual son.
Now Marcus was on his own, everything was going great. He just got out of a great medical college and decided to go to work for his father’s hospital. On the way to work one morning Marcus was standing at a street corner when there was a large explosion that didn’t come from a specific location. Twenty people were injured and Marcus was rushed to the hospital. The very same that he worked at, unfortunately he was dead on arrival.
Suddenly it was night, Marcus woke up at the street corner that the mysterious explosion happened. The first thing that the now dead Marcus noticed was a chain protruding from his chest. He pulled and pulled at it but nothing happened it wouldn’t budge. He walked around trying to talk to the pedestrians, but no one would say anything to him. It was like he wasn’t even there. A loud voice then yelled out, “Oi!, Doctor!” but no one was there. Marcus couldn’t find the source of the voice that he heard. “Up here idiot!” Looking up Marcus saw a young woman standing on the top of a street lamp. She looked like one of the samurai that Marcus had learned about. The Katana was what really gave it away. “W-What do you want?” He replied in a worried tone.
“It’s my fault you died, I was fighting a hollow and it got away from me and ran into a crowd of people. You were one of those people.”
“What do you mean, Hollow, and what do you mean your fault! Where am I, what happened? Why don’t people say anything to me?”
After and hour of explaining things to Marcus the Shinigami came down and started to approach him. “I’m about to send you to the soul Society, if you want to see me again you will need to try and get into the shinigami academy and become a full fledged shinigami.” She then drew her zanpakuto and tapped his forehead with the end of the handle. All before Marcus could say or do anything. Now Marcus found himself in what appeared to be ancient Japan. Following the advice of the unknown shinigami girl Marcus learned all he could about the soul society and eventually went to join the shinigami academy. After the third trial to get in he passed and was allowed to join the academy.

Rp sample: Finally the day had come, Marcus graduated from the Academy. It was time to move onto his next goal. The only problem was that Marcus didn’t know what he wanted to do now. Quietly walking down one of the many roads in the Seireitei now knowing where he might end up. He was still suppose to return to the academy in order to find out what squad was for him.
“I wonder what squad would be best for me, 4 wouldn’t work since for some reason I can’t heal.” This fact still confused him. He had become a doctor in life but yet he couldn’t control his reiatsu with enough skill to heal people decently.
“oh well, I would rather see action than sit back and heal the injured.” After hours of walking around, Marcus needed something to drink. It was a hot day and walking in the sun wasn’t going to make it any better. As he came around the corner three shinigami went into a shop of some sorts. Marcus never had the ability to explore like he could now when he was in the academy. As he entered the Shop the warm smell of ramen and other various types of food wafted into his nose.
“Hello and welcome!” whispered the kind man behind the bar as Marcus approached it.
“Thank you, can I get a drink please?” Marcus replied with a smile.
“What would you like sir? We have fresh tea, as well as sake, but its too hot for that.” The man continued to stand there cleaning a glass waiting for Marcus to order something.
“Your right its way too hot, I’ll just take a fresh cup of your tea please.” After the bartender gave him a glass of tea, Marcus thanked the man and finished off the tea.
Thirty minutes went by as Marcus sat there in silence just enjoying the shade and smell of the food.
“So what squad do you belong to young man?” The bartender asked in a warm tone.
“None yet, actually I just graduated the academy today. I have to go back and see what squad my skills would best suit. I just can’t think of what squad would be best for me.” He finished off another cup of tea and looked at the bartender. He face looked as if he was struggling on a difficult decision.
“Well, I can’t tell you which would be the best, but you’ll find the right one.” With that Marcus stood up and paid the man.
“Thanks, I’ll be back for more tea once I get seated.” Marcus left the shop and started heading back towards the academy to see what would happen with his future.
